Abstract

A process for making two-layer bottles is described in which a two- layer parison is injection moulded using two kinds of synthetic resin which have different working temperatures. In this process, an inner parison is injection moulded using a synthetic resin having a low working temperature and an outer parison is injection moulded around the inner parison using a synthetic resin having high working temperature. An outer surface of the inner parison is cooled to a relatively low temperature prior to the moulding of the outer parison and the two- layer parison is stretched and blow moulded immediately after the moulding of the outer parison.
