Abstract

PURPOSE: To let oil and water separation be accomplished continuously at high efficiency and achieve the decrease in oil content loss rate by providing a plurality of oil acceptors to a revolving shaft at the center of a porous inner barrel provided by leaving a spacing from an outer barrel and letting water content evaporate away from the oil films formed on the inside surface of the inner barrel through rotation of the oil acceptor.
CONSTITUTION: A revolving shaft 4 is revolved by starting a motor 6 and the untreated oil is supplied from an oul tank. This oil is heated with a heater 10 immediate before it enters the oil treating apparatus. This oil is then poured from a supply pipe 9 onto the upper oil acceptor 8. Oil films are formed by the centrifugal force through rotation of the oil acceptor 8 and these reach on the inside wall surface of the inner barrel 2, thence they flow down said surface. Then, if the inside of the apparatus is pressure-reduced, the water contents contained in the oil evaporate from the oil film surfaces, are sucked and thereby exhausted. The oil reached the coil collecting plate 11 from the inside wall surface flows down onto the lower oil acceptor 8 from its central hole 12, where the similar treatment takes place again. Finally only the oil content passes through a punching plate 18 and goes to an oil draw-out port 16, from where it is drawn out through a valve 17.
