Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect the leakage of gas before the comsumption of the gas regardless to the happening of an earthquake by equipping an quake-sensing chamber of a antiearthquake automatic interception valve with a leakage detector.
CONSTITUTION: When an earthquake happens during the consumption of gas, a quake-sensing ball 12 in a quake-sensing chamber 6 is rolled to the side to release a valve spindle 9, and a valve body 8 is automatically closed. The return the valve body 8 to be opened, a first, cocks of a gas-consuming installation are closed, and button 17 is pushed for about 20 seconds. Then, a bypass 14 is connected, and the pressure in the down stream is equalized with that in the upper stream. A piston 22 is slided to the outside of the quake-sensing 6, and simultaneously the quake- sensing ball 12 is returned to the centre of the quake-sensing chamber 6 to return the valve body 8 for opening. Without regard to the happening of the earthqake, the botton 20 can be pushed to close the valve body 8, and the leakage piston 22 is slided for detecting the leakage of gas through an indicating window 27.
