PURPOSE: A readily available and mass-producible preventive against mold growing, capable of adsorbing oxygen in a given space, usable for preserving a food and drink, and comprising alloy powder of silicon, aluminum and iron, in a specific proportion.
CONSTITUTION: A preventive comprising alloy powder consisting of 1W10% silicon, 1W10% aluminum, and the rest iron. 10% or less of one or several rare earth elements added in combination further improves the oxygen adsorptivity. The mixture sealed in a closed space together with a food and drink adsorbs oxygen and moisture, thus preventing the growing of an acidophilic mold and oxidation spoilage.
