Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform dot printing of high density of picture elements on the surface of recording paper by a method wherein plural number of needle electrodes are arrenged in a cross-stitch way in slitlike orifiecs provided in multistage in front of an ink chamber and the voltage of reverse polarlity is impressed on an electrode provided on the back side of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Slitlike orifices 21 and 22 are provided in multistage in front of an ink chamber 1, while plural number of needle electrodes 3 are provided in a cross- stitch way in the orifices 21 and 22, respectively. The interval (d) between electrodes is set to be relatively large so as to eliminate the influence of an electric field on each other and the line of needle electrodes on the upper stage and that on the lower stage are made to operate in such a manner that the operation of each line lags by the time (t), thereby the same line of dot printing of high density of picture element being performed.
