Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a developing toner capable of being well subjected to heat roller fixing while preventing occurrence of an offset phenomenon, winding of a transfer sheet round a fixing roller, etc. by blending a specified styrene type polymer and a specified polyalkylene.
CONSTITUTION: A homopolymer of a styrene type monomer or a copolymer of a styrene type monomer and a vinyl type monomer, preferably a copolymer of styrene and α-methylene aliphatic monocarboxylate, and a polyalkylene with a mol. wt. of 1,000W45,000, preferably polypropylene are blened, and a coloring agent such as pigment or dye is added to the blend to obtain a toner. The above- mentioned homopolymer or copolymer has wt. average mol. wt./number average mol.wt. of 3.5 or more. The amount of the polyalkylene blended is about 1W25, preferably 2W10 pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of the total resin component.
