Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement in the endurance and reliability of the copying machine by using the polymer synthesized from the vinyl-base monomer containing crosslinking agent monomer as binder resin for toners and containing a slight amount of olefin polymer in this.
CONSTITUTION: When the toners 6 made by the polymer synthesized from the vinyl-base monomer containing 0.1W10wt%, based on tge weight of the monomer, of crosslinking agent monomer and additives such as coloring agents are used, they have high resistance to the load which they receive in the developing machine but the surface of a photoreceptor 1, the surface of a developing sleeve 2, etc. become more liable to receive abrasion and since pigments cannot be dispersed sufficiently, the defect that the endurance is not yet sufficient is caused. Thereupon, a slight amount of the olefin polymer of 10W106cps in melt viscosity at 140°C is contained in the toners using this crosslinked polymer as binder resin, whereby such defects may be improved and the endurance and reliability of the copying machine improved.
