Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic receptor with superior surface smoothness and cleanability by forming a photoconductive layer contg. an antifriction material and a fluorine-contg. surfactnat as well as a photoconductive material.
CONSTITUTION: To a photoconductive material are added an antifriction material such as polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene, metal stearate or talc which is insoluble in a general solvent by 0.01W40pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of the photoconductive material and a surfactnat such as C8F17SO2.NRCH2COOH (where R is CH3, C2H5 or other alkyl, phenyl or the like) contg. a highly fluorinated long-chain alkyl group by 0.01W50pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of the antifriction material, and they are dispersed in a solvent together with a binder resin such as acrylic resin or epoxy resin. This dispersion is applied to an electrically conductive support and dried to form a photoconductive layer. The resulting receptor has a dense smooth surface, high wear resistance and superior endurance, and a fine copied image is obtd.
