Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the captioned roll of high abrasion resistance and seizure resistance and a long life by forming the outer layer of the composite sleeve obtained through fusion welding by centrifugal casting by the high-hardness adamite of the specific composition and forming the inner layer by the graphite cast steel of the limited composition. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal forming the outer layer 3 of the following composition is pourted into the centrifugal casting device consisting of a metal mold 1, sand mold or heat-resistant brickes 2 and revolving roller 5 and upon (un)completion of its freezing, the molten metal forming the inner layer 4 is poured in succession to fusion-bond both layers 3 and 4. Naemly, the outer layer is the high- hardness adamite material of C: 1.8-3%, S: and Mn 0.6-1.5% respectively, Ni: 1.5-5%, Cr: 0.6-2%, Mo: 0.3-1.2% and the rest Fe and inoculated in molten metal with Si-bas inoculant as 0.05-1%. The inner layer is the graphite cast ion of C: 1-1.8%, Si: 0.5-2%, Mn: 0.2-1%, Ni, Cr and Mo respectively 0.1-1% and the rest Fe and inoculated in molten metal with Ca-Si inoculant at 0.2-2%.
