Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable revolution without variation in torque such as cogging by a mechanism wherein a torque to be generated at a part of an armature is made extremely smaller than that to be generated at other parts, thereby a commutator is unnecessitated. CONSTITUTION:An armature 114 is constructed in the manner that a conductive circuit 117 is wound around a ring shaped toroidal core 116 being installed with fixing strut 115 around the peripheral 111a of a circular end plate 111. A core 116 consists of a main body 116a and an engaging member 116b, both being fabricated by a magnetic material such as soft iron in order to induce magnetic field flux while said main body 116 has a slit 116 with depth D and width W being cut approx. orthogonal to the periphery of the toroidal core. Size of the slit width W is sufficient enough to accommodate winding wire 117 being disposed longitudinally, and all of the winding wires 117 being wound in the interval T between the two slits. On account of said condiguration, commutator is unnecessitated, thereby a stable revolution free from cogging and variation in torque can be obtained.
