PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and size of a generator, as well as to obtain larger capacity thereof by providing a fly-wheel for exclusive use for adjusting and securing GD<2> of the generator's rotary portion at a revolving shaft which connects revolution part mechanically. CONSTITUTION:A fly-wheel 9 is connected with and between revolving shafts 1a, 3a coaxially firmly and mechanically. At dimensional design of the fly-wheel 9, size of GD<2> is set in the manner such that it suffices the insufficient size values of GD<2> of a generator's rotor 1 and the runner 3 of the water turbine. Under the necessity on the installation work, diameter of the fly-wheel 9 is set at smaller value than the inner diameter of the stator's iron core 2a of the generator and the diameter of the upper opening of the runner chamber 8 provided inside the concrete base, and the fly-wheel is installed with the runner chamber 8 located below a thrust bearing 5. By this configuration, weight and dimensions of the generator can be reduced to the possible minimum while increment of the generator's capacity is obtained.
