Abstract
PURPOSE: To effect the effective control of corrosion prevention and reduction of power cost by a method wherein a reference electrode switch/scan unit automatically scans a potential input from a multipoint corrosion-preventive-object potential- detection reference-electrode, all the potential is used to comparison/computation of an optimum potential of corrosion prevention, and these potentials are used as a base to control the output current from an automatic-control rectifier.
CONSTITUTION: Near an object 12 to be prevented from corrosion, installed is a multi-point reference electrode 1, the potential of whose all points is inputted via lead wire 2 to a reference electrode switch/scan unit 4 within a group regulation controller 3. A computation instruction controller 5 commands a sequential scanning of potential and the potential is stored in a memory unit 6. The potetnial values of all points stored in the controller 5 are fed back and used to compare and compute an optimum preventing potential for each circuit. The obtained potential is used as the standard to send information to control output current to rectifier units 8 within an automatic controlled rectifier, so that DC output current is automatically controlled.
