Abstract

PURPOSE:To welding material which is constituted integrally by the flux containing the specified ratio of calcium titanate and metal core wire or metal case, comprises containing Cr in at least one of these and reduces the spatter produced at the welding. CONSTITUTION:The Cr-contained welding material constituted integrally by the flux which is kept of its Na and K components at 1wt% or less in their oxide (Na2O and K2O) equivalent and contains calcium titanate (e.g.; CaTiO3) at 1- 15wt% and a metal core wire and/or metal case. This Cr-contained welding material has superior performances as a welding material for stainless-steel-base or Cr-Mo- base high tensile steel and a welding material for hard facing. Here, it is desirable to compound further suitable amounts of CaCO3, fluorite, etc. besides a suitable amount of calcium titanate in the flux. Namely, for example, CaCO3 has a function as a gas producing agent and is extremely effective in enhancing shielding effect.
