Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide vapor barrier anchoring with sufficient strength and working property by combining the metallic plates of the side wall of a concrete low-temperature liquefied gas storage tank into a unitary body with a number of stud dowels with a smaller strength than a vapor barrier. CONSTITUTION:Even though the side wall 6 and bottom panels 2 of a concrete low- temperature liquefied gas storage tank are made of concrete, vapor barrier metallic plates 1 and 4 are interconnected by annular metallic plates 10 and the inside of the wall 6 is entirely covered with metallic plates. Since the wall 6 is connected to the panels 2 by a free bearing structure A, no large bending moment works on the corner angle portions of the bottom of the tank. Since the plates 4 are therefore hardly separable and monolithic, the installation thereon can easily be made with a portable welder and the plates 4 are highly resistant to external force.
