Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the quantity of NH3 required for HCl gas removal through NH3 gas regeneration and recovery by heating and stirring NH4Cl-contg. collected dust at a temperature below b.p. of NH4Cl.
CONSTITUTION: HCl-contg. waste gas makes catalytic reaction with NH3 gas, which is fed from an NH3 container 3 via hole 2A on gas duct 1, and produces NH4Cl power particles. The particles are collected together with dust in the waste gas by a collector 4, and cleaned gas is discharged from a blower 5. Collected dust is sent by a screw feeder 6 into a reactor 7 maintained at 100W220°C by a heater 8, where a stirrer 9 makes agitation to cause alkaline component in the dust to react with NH4Cl. Produced NH3 is supplied through outlet 10 to the hole 2A to be again used for removing HCl.
