Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a continuous sufficient tongue-shaped spark by a method wherein an ignition system is constituted so as to utilize a part of a total wave of an alternative electric source, which is efficient in supplying of a spark discharge at an ingition plug, and a magnetic connection of primary and secondary coils for a step-up transformer is made rough.
CONSTITUTION: An alternative electric source is connected to input terminals 1, 2 of a rectifying bridge circuit consisting of four pieces of diodes 3W6, and a series circuit of a resistor 9 and a capacitor 10 and the same of a diode 11 and a capacitor 12 are connected in parallel between positive and negative output terminals 7, 8 of this circuit. The capacitor 12 is branched by a series circuit of a choke coil 13 and a capacitor 14, a series circuit of a capacitor 15 and resistors 16, 17 and a resistor 18, while the capacitor 14 is branched by a series circuit of a choke coil 19, a capacitor 20 and a thyristor 21, further, the capacitor 20 is branched by a primary coil 221 of a step-up transformer 22 having primary to third coils 221W223. The thyristor 21 is triggered by an activating trigger circuit consisting of the resistor 9, the capacitor 10 and a switching element 36.
