Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to operate a generator without pressure loss, in either cases when two blast furnaces are both in operation or when one of the two blast furnaces is in operation, by supplying exhaust gas from two blast furnaces separately to a pair of right and left stages provided at turbine rotors.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas 22A, 22B discharged from the top of two blast furnaces is carried to a middle portion of turbine rotor 32 which is provided with a pair of right and left turbine stages 33A, 33B, so that exhaust gas 22A is supplied to one turbine stage 33A whereas exhaust gas 22B is supplied to another turbine stage 33B. As gas turbine 31, there is employed, for instance, one in which rotor 32 is supported by a pair of right and left bearings, inlet sides (inner side) of turbine stages 33A, 33B are communicated to an inlet chamber formed integrally with a fixed outer casing, and a simple structure like labyrinth packing is used for the right and left partitions disposed between the fixed outer casing and rotor 32.
