Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a single-stage series turbine having the same function as a multi-stage turbine by the single-stage blades and of high efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A single-stage series turbine consists of a rotor 13 having single- stage movable blades 14 and an impeller chamber 15. Partitioned steam chambers 1W4 and exhaust chambers 9W12 are provided in the impeller chamber 15, and the steam chambers 1W4 always incorporate nozzle groups 5W8 each having required nozzle area. Steam introduced into the steam chamber 1 is ejected from the nozzles 5 and after the steam works at the blades 14 in the ejecting range, it is introduced into the exhaust chamber 9, and from the latter through a pipe or passage in the impeller chamber into the steam chamber 2. The steam is then ejected from the nozzle 6 to work at the blades 14 in the ejecting rage. Thus, the steam is introduced sequentially to the steam chambers 3, 4 to work the above operation, and exhausted from the exhaust chamber 12. According to this constructed, even the single-stage tubrine can perform the same function near the 3W4-stage turbines.
