Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to measure the capacitance and resistance automatically without being affected with temperature drift, by using varactor diode to the resonance circuit connecting measured substance.
CONSTITUTION: When measured substance is located on the electrode 4, the capacitance Cx of the substance is connected to the resonance circuit 2 to unbalance the resonance. Thus, by applying a voltage to the varactor diodes VD2-1, 9-1 in the detection feedback circuit 8, the resonance can be obtained again. Further, VD9-1 with the same capacitance change as VD2-1 is connected to the capacitance changing amount-voltage conversion circuit 9 via the capacitor, to output the capacitance change of VD9-1 as a voltage. Further, at the measurement of resistance Rx for measured substance, the output proportional to the resistance Rx is obtained by connecting the division circuit 6 and the linearizer 7 to the output of the detection circuit 5.
