Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the rate of aeration to a suitable rate against the fluctuations in the amount and concentration of waste water by adding a threshold output setter which sends out the signal conforming to the change patterns of the past final day of an aeration rate controller thereby limiting the modulation of the rate of aeration.
CONSTITUTION: Based on the results of measurement of a dissolved oxygen detecting end 10a, an aeration rate controller 8 is operated to maintain the dissolved oxygen of waste water within a desired range. This condition is checked with a recorder 11. The output signal of the controller 8 is recorded in a recorder 9. This record 9 is examined and a threshold is so determined as to avoid aeration shortage. This threshold is then set in a threshold output setter 12. Then, when the output of the controller 8 reaches the preset threshold value on account of modulation or the like of the dissolved oxygen meter 10, the output of the controller 8 is maintained at the threshold value as it is by the signal from the threshold output setter 12. Thereby, excessive aeration is prevented and the quality of the treated water is well maintained.
