Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a nozzle plate having necessary mechanical strength with uniform and high precision, by coating the metal foil containing nozzle part and opening part and exposed surface of reinforcing plate with corrosion resistant and wear resistant metal layer.
CONSTITUTION: A nickel foil 8 is formed by electroforming, and possesses a nozzle part 9. This nickel foil 8 is laminated by diffusion bonding on a reinforcing plate 10 made of metal which is relatively easy to etch and has a certain stiffness, such as phosphor bronze. Part of the reinforcing plate 10 opposing to the nozzle part 9 is etched to make an opening part 11. In this case, since the etching speed of nickel is relatively slower than that of phosphor bronze, the opening part 11 may be formed without reducing the thickness of the nickel foil. A corrosion resistant and wear resistant metal, such as a nickel layer 12, is deposited by plating or other method on the exposed surfaces of the nickel foil 8 containing the nozzle part 9 and opening part 11 and the reinforcing plate 10. Thus, sufficient mechanical strength and durablity may be obtained.
