Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the moisture reaching distance from exterior to a semiconductor pellet and to prevent the corrosion of aluminum by forming a U-shaped groove for surrounding the pellet mounting portion from a lead extension at a tab lead wire mounted with the pellet. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of lead wires 2, 3 having a tab lead 1 are arranged at predetermined distance, a semiconductor element 5 is mounted on the surface of the tab lead 1, metal wires 6, 7 are connected between the aluminum electrode surface of the element 5 and other lead wires, and the element 5 and the wire connecting portion are molded with resin. A U-shaped groove 10 for surrounding the pellet mounting portion from the tab lead extension side is formed at the tab 4 to reduce the introduction of moisture thereto.
