Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a converting device having a high precision, by securing an error portion in the D/A converter as a digital signal, and adding it as a correcting signal to the subordinate digit of the digital signal. CONSTITUTION:The reference voltage source 33 is constituted so that it can generate the same reference voltage for calibration as an ideal converting analog voltage corresponding to the weight which is obtained when each bit in the D/A converter 24 has been input. The difference between the output at the time when one bit of the D/A converter 24 has been input and the reference voltage for calibration to the weight corresponding to the foregoing is obtained by the adder 13, this difference is converted to a digital signal by a digital converting operation by means of the integrator 15 and the comparator 18, etc., and it is maintained as a correcting signal. Such a correcting signal is obtained as to each bit in the D/A converter 24, and is stored in the memory 35. The correcting signal which has been obtained as mentioned above is added to the converting output of the subordinate digit in order to correct it.
