Abstract

The analogue-digital converter having high resolution receives an analogue value, and generates a digital representation of this value with a precision of 2-n. A digital integrator (11) receives p logic signals (12) and generates an analogue value (14). A circuit determining the integral value receives the analogue value for conversion (15), and the analogue value generated by the digital integrator (14), and produces logic signals (12) to be sent to the digital integrator (11). A digital correction system (16) receives the logic signals relating to the integral value (12) and generates logic signals relating to the true value (17). The digital integrator (11) comprises several low resolution (k bit) converters whose output values are summed with weighting to form a digital integrator with a high resolution of p bits (p>k).
