Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the image recording of good resolving power by applying a bias magnetic field at the transfer by the application of the reverse electric field of the sensible image formed by way of a vertically magnetized hard magnetic thin film thereby erecting magnetic lines of force.
CONSTITUTION: The hard magnetic thin film 3 of a drum 1 is vertically magnetized by a magnetic recording head 5 and a latent image is formed on the drum 1. This latent image is made to a toner sensible image by a developing device 6 and the sensible image is transferred to recording paper 7 by way of a transfer charger 8 which applies the electric field opposite from that of the sensible image charges. In this way, when a bias magnetic field is applied by a magnet 9 and magnetic lines of force are erected, the toner sensible image corresponds faithfully to the magnetic field distributions of said magnetic lines of force, and becomes an image of small dot diameters, thus the recording of good resolution may be accomplished.
