Abstract

PURPOSE: To economically produce pure fuel-gas by exhausting residual ash-content into an ash-salvage water pool, sending vapor and gas which are generated in the furnace to a aqueous gas generator of brick work and a superheater which are separately installed, and burning auxiliary fuel.
CONSTITUTION: The upper part of a blast furnace-type garbage incinerator 1 is equipped with a charging apparatus 6, an exhaust pipe 7, and a poking hole 9; the lower part of the furnace, with a tuyere 10 and an annular pipe 11; and on the furnace bottom, a conveyer 12 for ash such as stoker and an ash-salvage water pool 13 are installed. From the tuyere 10, auxiliary fuel and combustion air are sprayed according to demand, the temperature before tuyere being to be approximately 800W1,000°C. The preheating zone in the upper part of the furnace vaporizes moisture in the charged garbage, and the following decomposition zone gasifies combustivles. Vapor and gas here are converted into fuel gas of a high calorific value in the following water-gas generator 2, and burned in a superheater 3. Then, the gas is utilized as pure gas after either removing its vapor in a waste heat boiler 5 or washing in a washing machine 4.
