Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable accurate and stable A/D conversion, by making agreement the range of output voltage of level comparator with the power supply voltage of the resistor ladder circuit and connecting the output terminals of the comparator and ladder circuit with resistors. CONSTITUTION:The switches 10, 11... of the resistor ladder circuit 1 are ON or OFF in a given sequence with the code produced with the digital signal generation circuit 3, and the output LDS of the circuit 1 is increased. While LDS is lower than the analog input ANL, the output LCS of the level comparator 2 is at the level of -V, -V is fed to the resistor r, and it determines the slope of LDS. When LDS is in excess of ANL, LCS is at high level V, V is fed to the resistor r, LDS is level up to the positive side and increased surely than ANL by that value. Thus, LCS is not fallen under the low level and can keep the high level as it is.
