Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the linearity of a conversion circuit, by compensating the 1st analog voltage corresponding to a digital signal with a voltage equally dividing a difference between the maximum and minimum analog voltages of a digital-to-analog converting circuit biased by the 1st analog voltage from both the voltages, into two. CONSTITUTION:Switches 25b and 27g in a digital-to-analog converting circuit (D-A)21 are turned on with a digital signal from a control circuit. When a control signal C goes to a high level, switches 43 and 46 turn on, a point 47 reaches a VAR1 and the potential of another end of a capacitor 44 is a threshold voltage VTH of an inversion circuit 45. Switches 32 and 33 also turn on, a point 28 goes to a VF and a point 30 reaches a V2. When the signal C goes to a low level, an input analog signal VAIN in applied to the point 47, the point 28 goes to the VAR1 and a point 30 reaches a VAR2, and a voltage compensating an output of the D-A21 is applied to the other end of the capacitor 44. The input analog signal VAIN is compared with the output of the D-A21 with the inversion circuit 45.
