Abstract

CONSTITUTION:An ink drip is ejected from a head 1 and is charged by a charging electrode 2, then, an amount of charging is detected by a detecting electrode 3. Then the charged ink drip is by a first deflecting means consisting of a horizontally deflecting electrode 4a and the first vertically deflecting electrode 4b. Successively, the ink drip is given a deflection reversed to the deflection in the first electrode 4b by a second deflecting means consisting of the second vertically deflecting electrode 7, thereafter, the ink drip is printed on a recording paper 8. Unstable ink drip which is not being charged is proceeded in straight and is arrested by a gutter 6. Here, a difference is provided between a distance between inlet ends of the first and the second deflecting means and a distance between an inlet end of the second deflecting means and a recording surface so as to compensate a dot deflection caused by a relative movement of the head unit and the recording paper.
