Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a good finish of the cylindrical cloth, by applying starch onto the cylindrical cloth in its manufacturing process for the bearing in which rubber- state elastic cylindrical units interposed with a metallic bearing outer cylinder is integrally provided on the periphery of a wear resistant cylindrical cloth.
CONSTITUTION: The periphery of a wear resistant cylindrical cloth 4 is surrounded by rubber-state elastic cylindrical units 1, 3 interposed with a metallic bearing outer cylinder 2 and combined integrally to obtain a bearing. When the bearing is manufactured, firstly the solution of starch is applied fully onto surfaces of the cylindrical cloth 4 and dried, then the contact face of the cylindrical cloth 4 with the cylindrical unit 3 is treated by adhesives. And said cylindrical cloth 4 is placed in the metal mold to obtain the cylindrical cloth 4 of the metallic bearing outer cylinder 2 and the rubber-state elastic cylindrical unit 1, 3 by one-unit molding in the molding method of press, injection, etc. And then the starch adhering to noncontact surfaces of the cylindrical cloth 4 and the cylindrical unit 3 is removed by washing with water to permit the cloth to expose its woven skin face.
