Abstract
PURPOSE: To plate the surfaces of a strip-like body efficiently without including abraded powder in a plating soln. by bringing said body into contact with a cathodizing means at an ouside of a plating tank in applying plating on said body.
CONSTITUTION: A conductive belt-like body 4 is brought into contact with cathode contacts 7 just before the inlet of a plating tank 2. These contacts 7 are formed of conductive rolls consisting of revolving shafts 8 and conductive rolls consisting of conductive materials such as copper or the like fixed near both ends thereof, and the rolls 9 are made as cathode by suitable means. Such rolls 9 are brought into contact with the end edge parts of the body 4 from above and below to cathodize the body 4. This body 4 is passed through the inter- electrode spacing in the plating tank and the plating soln. is flowed forcibly, whereby plating is applied. According to this method, such an inconvenience that the body 4 is worn and its abraded powder includes into the plating soln. is obviated.
