Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the manufacturing process simple, and to make the handling of lead wire easy, by providing a step at the central portion of flat, elliptical coils, and fabricating a rotor by subsequently overlapping the higher-step portions of the coils over the lower-step portion of the coils in a circular form. CONSTITUTION:A step 23b is provided at the central portion of each coil 23 by compressing work after conductive wire is wound in a flat, elliptical shape. A higher step portion 23c of said coil 23 is overlapped on a lower portion 23d of an adjacent coil, and the process is repeated to form a circular shape. A commutator 7 is arranged on the central portion and a rotor 21 is formed. The lead wires of the commutator 7 are taken out along the step 23b of each coil 23 to a recess 24, and soldered together with the ends of the wiring of each coil 23. In this constitution, positioning of each coil 23 can be readily achieved, and the lead-wire-connecting portion can be enclosed in the recess 24, thereby extra spaces can be eliminated.
