Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the eddy current loss of electromagnetic induction apparatus and restrain the cost increase to a minimum by a method wherein a part of multiple cylindrical winding disposed at a portion of high leakage flux density is composed of complex conductor, and the rest is made with single conductor of thicker size. CONSTITUTION:In the 4 layer multiple cylindrical winding 3 arranged in a magnetic slot 1, only the first and second layer of cylindrical winding 3I, 3II arranged nearby another conductor 2, are constituted, for example, with a complex conductor 4 consisted to flat type conductor 6a, 6b, slightly insulated with insulating paper 5a, 5c, and the rest is made with single conductor. In this construction, the eddy current loss in the winding of the first and second layer, where the leakage flux is concentrated, are reduced respectively to 1/4. And as the current loss in the third and fourth layer is very little, the total loss distribution through the first-the fourth layer is equalized, and the allowable current is reduced. By this way, the mechanical strength against the electromagnetic force at the time of short-circuit is enlarged and the cost up can be restrained.
