Abstract

PURPOSE: To finish tapping in a short time without disturbing gas flow in each dust collecting chamber by the procedure in which the coming and going of gas is interrupted only for one chamber of plural electric dust collecting chambers and the electrode kept under high voltage is tapped while keeping gas flow to the remaining dust collecting chambers uniform.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of two series of electric dust collector, one series is provided with the two dust collecting chambers A1 and A2, and another series is provided with the two dust collecting chambers A3 and A4. And, the entrances of respective dust collecting chambers are provided with the gas dampers 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 and 8-4, and the upflow sides of the inlet ducts 1-1 and 1-2 are provided with the two partition plates 3-1 and 3-2 and the movable guides 2-1, 2-2, 4-1 and 4-2 for fine regulation, by which the amount of gas coming into three dust collecting chambers can be equally distributed. And, when tapping the electrodes of the chambers A1 and B1, the guide 4-1, the damper 6-1 and the damper 8-1 are orderly closed, and then the guides 2-1 and 4-2 are finely regualted to flow gas uniformly into the remaining chambers A2, B2, B3, A4 and B4 respectively.
