Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure a necessary hydration reaction in a pan, to maintain a stream of particles accurately and to obtain granulating bodies with large strength, by a method wherein coarse particles sieved are shredded and returned into the pan of a granulating machine with granules in a pan type granulating system.
CONSTITUTION: Hydrating powder such as activated alumina, cement, etc. is supplied to a pan 100 through a fixed-quantity feeder 113 by means of a hopper 112. Granulating bodies discharged from the pan 100 are sieved into products 103, granules 104 and coarse particles 105 by means of a sieve 102. The coarse particles 105 among these bodies 105 among these bodies sieved are shredded by means of a shredder 106, and the powder is returned into the pan 100 with the granules 104. According to this method, a necessary hydration reaction in the pan is ensured, a stream of the particles is correctly maintained, and granulating bodies with large strength can be obtained.
