Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide constant combustion characteristic by a method wherein feed rates of plural gaseous fuels are so controlled that the ratio Ao/ρ1/2 and H/ρ1/2 (Ao, ρ and H are respectively the theoretical air amount, density, and calorific value of the gaseous fuel mixture after mixing of plural gaseous fuels) will be equal to respective setpoints.
CONSTITUTION: Gaseous fuels of different combustion characteris ics fed from reservoir equipments 1W3 are flowed through flow control valves 7W9, flow meters 10W12, and gas composition analyzers 13W15 into a mixer 16, where they are mixed together to be a gaseous fuel mixture. The flow rate signals and analytical result signals of the fuels are fed to an electronic computer 20 through cables 21W 23 and 24W26. The combustion characteristic of the gaseous fuel mixture is kept constant by so controlling the valves 7W9 that the ratios Ao/ρ1/2 and H/ρ1/2 (Ao, ρ and H are respectively the pre-fed theoretical air amount, density, and calorific value of the gaseous fuel mixture) will be equal to respective setpoints.
