Abstract
PURPOSE: The primer for α-cyanoacrylate adhesive is applied in powder form using a porous bag or puff to permit the effective coating operations and give smooth coated surface even to substrates with fine depressions and projections.
CONSTITUTION: Before adhesion with α-cyanoacrylate adhesive, the surface to be adhered is coated with the powdery primer, preferably of less than 20 mesh particle sizes, using a porous bag such as natural or synthetic fine twisted yarn fabrics woven or knitted or nonwoven fabric or a puff. The primer is prepared by appropriately combining curing accelerator, e.g., calcium hydroxide, zinc oxide, sealer, e.g., calcium carbonate or silica, stiffening agent, e.g., aluminum, filler, e.g., fine powder of polystyrene, impact-resistant material, e.g., fine powder of polyurethane elastomer, electrically conductive agent and releaser.
