Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain high quality mask by bonding a protective sheet to one side of an electrically conductive screen, clogging the meshes of the other side with electrically conductive fine powder, electrodepositing metal on the clogged side, detaching the sheet, forming a photoresist image, and carrying out etching. CONSTITUTION:Protective sheet 3 coated with adhesive 2 is bonded to one side of electrically conductive screen 1, and electrically conductive fine powder 10 is rubbed in the meshes of screen 1. After forming metal layer 4 on the rubbed side by electrodeposition, adhesive 2 and sheet 3 are exfoliated to obtain composite body 5. Photoresist 6 is coated onto at least one side of body 5, printed with a pattern, and developed to form resist image 6'. Electrodeposited metal 4 of naked portions 7 alone is then etched to form openings 8, and resist 6' is removed. Thus, printing mask plate 9 is manufactured having high resolving power, dimensional stability, flexibility and superior printing resistance.
