Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a large size original printing plate, by dividing an original pattern into plural enlarged partial original plates by photographing and applying these partial original plates to a layout sheet to form a continuous pattern, and printing the pattern on a photosensitive material using a mask plate having registering means. CONSTITUTION:Pattern 2 of original 1 is enlarged to a finished print size to form halftone original plates 3a, 3b having parts 2a, 2b of the enlarged pattern, and plates 3a, 3b are applied to layout sheets 4a, 4b in accordance with the dividing line A of original 1 by registering means 5 (e.g. holes). On the other hand, light transmitting parts 7a, 7b having border lines 9a, 9b corresponding to line A and light shielding parts 8a, 8b are provided on mask plates 6a, 6b, and registering means 10 is also formed. Masks 6a, 6b are superposed on layout sheets 4a, 4b by registering means 5, 10. In the superposed state, on the glass G surface of a printer; mask plates 6a, 6b; sheets 4a, 4b; original plates 3a, 3b; and photosensitive material are successively superposed in thise order, and they are exposed to light from glass G side to print the pattern.
