Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent over-rotation of the engine by means of a low cost structure by a method wherein when the engine attains the set number of revolutions, charging of capacitor and conduction of an over-rotation preventing thyristor are synchronized, and charging of capacitor is bypassed. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor charging coil 1 is driven by the engine and produces an AC output, and a capacitor 5 if charged by its positive halfwave outout. Its negative halfwave output is supplied to the primary side of ignition signal producing transformer 7, and an output is produced on its secondary side. Its positive halfwave output is impressed on the gate of thyristor 4 for ignition use via the primary side of transformer 9, and when this becomes conducting, capacitor 5 is discharged, and a spark is produced at sparking plug 16. In this case, when the number of revolutions of the engine exceeds the set value, the positive output produced on the secondary side of transformer 9 is produced continuously even after the rise of the positive halfwave output of coil 1, and the charging of capacitor 5 is limited by over-rotation preventing thyristor 12.
