Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect conduction to a conduction cable and its current value, by combining linear and non-linear detecting signals which are generated between the terminals of linear and non-linear resistors after providing these resistors to a current detector body connected to the conduction cable.
CONSTITUTION: Output from a current signal converting circuit 22, to which output from an current detecting body 2 is supplied, is fed to an output unit 5 and an error amplifier 8. The circuit 22 consists of a converter circuit 15, a linear resistor 23 connected to an output terminal of the circuit 15, and non-linear resistors 16 composed of diodes. The voltage drop e2 of the diodes 16 does not change and is approximately kept constant owing to a non-linear property of the resistance thereof even when circuit currents I increase. The voltage drop e2 results in high sensitivity as signals for use in detecting the flowing of the circuit current I, and forms stable output voltage. The sum e3 of voltage drop e4 of the resistor 23 and the voltage drop e2 froms a broken line, but has approximately primary functional relation with respect to currents I in each region. Thus, analog signals (for feedback) and digital signals (for current detection) can be obtained according to the combination of the resistor 23 and the diodes 16.
