1465757 Electric protective arrangements LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGSGmbH 1 Aug 1974 [1 Aug 1973] 34012/74 Heading H2K In a system for detecting short-circuit currents in D.C. equipment such as a railway supply a detector comprises a di/dt converter 10 connected to the supply circuit (not shown) and having a resistive load 11 connected to an input amplifier 12, a resettable integrator 13 arranged to provide an output which is the integral of its input over a predetermined time period, set by a timing element 16, and to feed a comparator 14 which provides an output signal U a if its input exceeds a predetermined reference voltage U ref . A time independent measuring element 17 is connected in parallel with the integrator 13 and comparator 14 and causes an undelayed output signal U a to be produced with the occurrence of high output signals from the converter 17.
