Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove a multipath-reflected signal by storing the time from the emission of an acoustic wave until the reception of it and by closing the gate of a reception system at the point in time an integer greater than it. CONSTITUTION:A transmitted pulse, generated by transmission part 56, is sent to transmitter-receiver part 51 by way of duplexing part 52, and then emitted. At the same time, a time measurement instruction is sent out from transmission part 56 to time setting part 57. The 1st subaquatic reflected wave is amplified by reception part 54 by way of transmitter-receiver 51, duplexer 52 and gate part 53 and then recorded in recording part 55. This signal is stored in memory part 58. During the period of time an integer greater than the time needed to obtain the signal stored in this memory part 58, gate part 53 is closed to remove multipath reflection.
