Abstract

PURPOSE: To sound an alarm and close the discharge port when gas leakage occurred by the method wherein an electromagnet is magnetized in accordance with the command for power supply from a gas leakage sensor.
CONSTITUTION: When gas leakage occurred, sensor 8 causes an alarm unit to give a proper alarm sound, and at the same time, it issues an electric signal commanding power supply to electromagnet 5. Then, power is supplied to electromagnet 5 and it is excited. By this excitation, rod 7 together with magnetic contact are pulled and raised. Lever induction unit 13 is also raised and discharge port pressing unit 12 closes discharge port 10 lying immediately below it and stops the gas leakage. To release the valve closing operation, the power supply is stopped by manual operation. Then, by the restoring force of spring 15 energized by compression, up- down adjusting board 14, which adjusts pressure, is pressed down and discharge port pressing unit 12 is opened and the condition of supplying gas is restored.
