Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the loading of work having different dimension by allowing a work to be interposed through simultaneous control of the position of two tool rests by means of N.C. controller and by setting the transfer position of the work in the nipped state. CONSTITUTION:Carriages 7, 22 are simultaneously transferred in the same direction to the Z axis by the instruction described above 32, and tool rests 10, 25 are simultaneously transferred in the same direction to the X axis, and a work 6 is inserted into a chuck 5, and positioned at holding position. The tool rests 10, 25 retreat and two turret carriages 11, 26 index-swivel and the necessary cutting toll is positioned working position, and then the work is cut and transferred to discharge position.
