Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform machining work of a machined electrode as left in a mounted state, by mounting an electrode machining tool to the work table of an electric discharge machine, moving the electrode by the machining amount, and then rotating the table then machining the electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 16 is mounted to an electrode holder 9 in a honeycomb seal machining electric discharge machine. A tool holder 1 is mounted to a work mounting table 6, and tools 2, 3 are protruded by the prescribed amount through adjusting bolts 4. If a quill 11 is lowered, the electrode 16 is peripherally moved by a ball 14 and guide bar 15 to set a machining amount. If a table 6 is rotated, the electrode 16 is machined by the tools 2, 3 to desired shape. In this way, the electrode is machined as left in a mounted state to the electric discharge machine, and a preparation time required for centering of the electrode, its positioning or the like can be eliminated.
