Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A 1,3-dioxotetrahydroisoquinoline derivative shown by the formula I (R1 is H, halogen, nitro, amino, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, mono or di lower alkylamino; R2 and R3 are lower alkyl; R4 is lower alkyl or phenyl lower alkyl; R3 and R4 form 1,3-propylene).
EXAMPLE: 2,4-Dimethyl-1,3-dioxo-4-methylsulfonyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline.
USE: An intermediate for preparing anodynes, anti-inflammatory agents, neuromuscular blockers, platelet aggregation inhibitor, antimicrobial agents, central nervous system depresants, and other drugs.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II is reacted with a peroxide, e.g., hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid, etc. in an organic solvent, e.g. formic acid, chloroform, etc. at room temperature or under heating to give a compound shown by the formula I.
