Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the failure of round tubes, in which liquefied gas with a low temperature flows, due to the freezing of water while treating a large quantity of liquefied gas with a low temperature with small running cost, by letting the water of a water sprinkling device flow down to tube bundles produced by zigzag arranging the round tubes.
CONSTITUTION: Tubes 18, which both ends are supported by means of left-and- right struts 17, are zigzag disposed in every plural numbers to form tube bundles, and fitted into the holes of tube plates 20. Liquefied gas with low temperatures, such as, LPG and LNG flows in the tubes 18 of the tube bundles 21a of the uppermost portion from an inlet pipe 7, is successively sent to the tube bundles 21 of lower portions through connecting pipes 22 and is forwarded from an outlet pipe 8. Water for heating jetted from a water sprinkling device 26 uniformly flows down without being dispersed by means of the tubes 18 zigzag arranged, and exchanges heat with liquefied gas with low temperatures. Since the freezing of water is produced in opening portions even if it is formed, apparatus, such as, the tubes 18, etc. are not damaged, and power is sufficient only for the transfer of LPG and use for driving the water sprinkling device.
