Abstract

PURPOSE: To check the deflection yielded between the dynamic vanes for higher controlling property by means of a fixed vane between the dynamic vanes in an apparatus for controlling air volume of the current conveyed through a duct with a plurality of rotatable dynamic vanes.
CONSTITUTION: A parallel multi-vane damper 11 is provided between connecting ducts 12. In the damper 11, a plurality of rotation shafts 13 are arranged on a straight line at a given space at the right angle to the air flow while dynamic vanes 14 are mounted rotatively on respective rotation shafts 13. Plate-shaped fixed vanes are provided parallel to the air flow X at the position precisely between the tips of the dynamic vanes 14 when they are fully closed. With such an arrangement, it is possible to eliminate the air current crossing the plane otherwise existing thereby reducing the deflection.
