Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize high sensitivity of a sunburn-supervising display by using a visual filter in combination with a coating made of an indolinospiropyrane compound and resin low in ultraviolet-ray absorption. CONSTITUTION:In a mixture solution of an indolinospiropyrane compound as a photochromic material such as 1,3,3-trimethylindolins-6-nitrobenzopyrylspiran (SP-1), and resin low in ultravioletray absorption, e.g., polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), a paper filter is dipped to form a paper-filler supporting coating. In combination with the above-mentioned coating, a visual light filter is used in common which is formed by applting 1,3,3-trimethyl-2-[(4-dimethylanilino)ethylidene] benzoindilenium chloride, etc., as coloring matter with the extremely-high absorption nearly on the right half of slide galss to approximate 550nm. Namely, display A and B parts are irradiated directly with sunshine via the above-mentioned filter for about five seconds and the coloring of them is observed, so that ultraviolet rays can be measured by compraing the degree of the coloring of part B with a reference coloring table.
